My name's Tom, I'm from London, I live in Italy and I’ve been teaching English for over 13 years. I have extensive experience in teaching both one-to-one and group classes to students of all levels and a perfect grasp of typical issues Italian learners face, which allows me to provide a targeted training programme tailored to your needs.
I've helped hundreds of people like yourself to speak up and become confident communicators. My students include professionals whom I trained privately and in in-company Business English courses including big companies like Agos, Deloite, Axa, Accor, Nestle, Valtur, Schweppes or Rai.
I have a background in online content editing, back in London I worked as a content editor and I leverage my corporate experience to help my students grasp the principles of business culture in English-speaking countries.
Most importantly, I love learning languages – I speak 3 myself – and teaching English for me is a way of sharing that passion with you.
How I teach
I really believe in mindfulness and I love showing my students HOW English logic actually works so they can finally stop translating in their head and start thinking in English.
My lessons are personalised to your needs and are about practical language skills that you can use in everyday life and work. Over the years, I've developed my own vocabulary and grammar lessons, activation exercises, phonemic and language awareness activities and mind maps to help you communicate effectively in various professional settings.
To teach you the real English we speak on the streets of London, in my lessons, I use plenty of short social media videos: interviews, house tours or tutorials and bite-sized news articles.
